The catalog features a collection of more than 2500 rare books (dating from 1551 to the 1920s). This prominent private collection has been offered for auction at Christie`s in 2008 and purchased in its entirety prior to the sale by the Russian banking organization VTB. Soon after the acquisition, the collection has been donated in 2009 to Yeltsin Presidential Library in Saint Petersburg.
