Curved 76.2 cm (30 in.) blade with shallow central fuller and deeper fuller at the spine, maker marked above the hilt Osman. Ivory gripscales with intaglio-carved floral panels on both sides at the bolster and pommel. Black leather-covered scabbard with elephant ivory panel below the roped silver throat and decorated en suite to hilt. Silver mounts with roped borders and finely engraved with leafy tendrils, the upper mount with Russian hallmarks. Condition: blade showing some wear and scattered light pitting. Scabbard leather scuffed and with partially open seam, the mounts with scattered marks. Ivory probably replaced.
