LOT NOTES
Lev Sergeevich Levitsky (1847-?), son of well-known photographer Sergei Lvovich Levitsky (both worked in the same studio, Levitsky and Son), was a Russian photographer. In 1877 he received the honorary title of Photographer of His Imperial Majesty, and is notable for being one of the first photographers to reserve copyright for works for sale, especially those of the Imperial family.
