LOT NOTES
Born into an artistic family, Nikolai Krymov studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture under Abram Arkhipov, Nikolai Kasatkin, Lenoid Pasternatak, and at the studios of Valentin Serov and Konstanting Korovin. Known for his landscape paintings, Krymov's works were imbued with a sense of emotion and a human resonance with nature. The present lot, In the Forest demonstrates this mastery of the combination of nature and humanity.
