The Consignment Process
Our team of specialists is happy to provide you with a complimentary auction estimate of your fine and decorative art, and are committed to providing you with personalized service that fits your needs. We accept consignments of European, Russian, American, Asian, and Latin American works of art.
To submit your item(s) for consideration, please email us the following information to info@shapiroauctions.com:
- Clear images of the item(s). For paintings, drawings, and prints, please provide images of the front and back. For decorative art and sculptures, include any images of stamps or hallmarks. Please include any signatures, edition numbers, inscriptions, or gallery stickers related to the provenance, if available.
- dimensions of the artwork, not including the frame for paintings
- the provenance information for each piece
Our specialists will contact you with an estimate proposal after they examine your request. Of course, always feel free to call us at 212-717-7500 to discuss your consignment. We will also travel for expensive items or large collections, and outright purchase is also available.

Consignment Agreement
Once you agree to consign the work for auction you should send it to our Westchester County showroom. Upon receiving the work and a first-hand examination, we will issue a consignment agreement and receipt for your records.
Insurance
The safety of your artwork is our top priority. As soon as the work is consigned and in our hands, it is covered by our comprehensive fine art insurance policy.
Auction Date
We hold multiple sales with varying focuses throughout the year. After we examine your property we will suggest an auction which we feel would be best suited to feature and sell your work.
